Yoga Chi

If you enjoy gently flowing from one yoga pose to the next, you'll LOVE our newest offering - Yoga Chi!

Kathy Barber (certified in both Yoga and Tai Chi) developed this class to merge the best of both worlds. Yoga Chi blends flowing Tai Chi sequences with classic yoga postures to create a meditative practice that

Meet Kathy Barber, RYT-200

Kathy attended her first yoga class in 2014 and was immediately hooked! As her yoga practice deepened, she became aware of the many similarities complimentary aspects of yoga and Tai Chi, which she was already practicing and teaching.

Upon completion of her Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 (YTT with Laurel Hodory), Kathy launched her signature class - Yoga Chi - a practice that blends the flow and meditative qualities of tai chi with the stretching and strengthening of Hatha yoga.

Kathy recently retired as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse at Mt. Carmel St. Ann's Hospital, which allows her more time to expand her teaching practice and pursue her varied hobbies, including kayaking, hiking and her latest adventure, SUP Yoga. Kathy is married and has three grown children.
