While we welcome students of all ages and fitness levels, our classes are designed with baby boomers in mind. People who are beginning to notice the effects of aging but aren't ready to get old.
We emphasize safe movements to maintain and increase range-of-motion (ROM) in the joints, strength and flexibility in the muscles, and an overall sense of balance, calm, and well-being.

Small Group Classes:
Our space is cozy and accommodates a maximum of 9 students. So, no matter which class you select, you'll get personal attention. At Ah-sana Yoga you're not just another body in the room.
Our * classes (Yoga for Flexibility and Yoga Chi) are perfect for those who have never done yoga before. The pace is slow and each pose is broken down, allowing time to:
get set up in the basic shape
refine or adjust the pose to make it more balanced, supported, and comfortable
hold the pose to reap the benefits
learn how to transition out of the pose and into another
Our Yoga for Strength & Flexibility classes assume a basic understanding of posture and a degree of comfort moving from one to the next. The pace of the class is faster than in * classes and more advanced poses are introduced and practiced. These classes are appropriate for most students, including beginners. Options are offered to increase or decrease the intensity of postures.
It's like lifting weights - someone new to lifting may start with lighter weights while an experienced lifter may select heavier weights. Each will be lifting the appropriate amount of weight for them.
